Inspired by walking in my flip flops on the beach searching for treasures in the sand, this pine needle bowl will be perfect for your favorite keepsakes.

Here's the whole process for creating the pine needle pottery! The entire piece is hand crafted by me, one at a time!

First the pottery base is hand thrown (quickest part)
trimmed
little holes drilled
bisque fired to harden clay
hand glazed
little holes drilled again to clean glaze out
high fired to harden glaze

Southern Long Leaf Pine Needles collected
sort and bundle pine needles
pop off end cap of the pine needle
and finally stitched the pine needle on the rim

It is a labor of love and it's worth the work. I love the finished look of the natural pine needle with the glossy pottery glaze. The clay pot was designed to showcase the hand made flip flop clay medallion. A little petite shell found on the beach was added for decoration. This really symbolizes the love of walking on the beach and combing the sand for treasures!
